All our kittens are raised as part of the family, will be well socialised and used to other cats and dogs and the everyday hustle and bustle of home life when they go to their new homes. They will be ready to leave us after they are 14 weeks of age and have been neutered. They will also have been vet checked, wormed and fully vaccinated for flu, enteritis and feline leukaemia virus (FeLV). They come with a kitten care pack, a full pedigree, 4 weeks Pet Plan insurance, and will be registered with the GCCF. If you are interested in showing please mention it when you enquire so that I can hopefully find you something suitable. |

Day 1: Just as with her first litter, Blaze threatened to have her kittens for two days before finally having them. When they eventually arrived everything went well and, this being her second litter, Blaze took everything in her stride. She has had four lovely, healthy kittens; three sorrel girls and one usual boy. Yet again we are snowed under with sorrels, and all girls this time. All the kittens are doing great, feeding well and Blaze seems to have plenty of milk to keep them content.

Week 1: The kittens are now a week old and are all doing really well. They have all gained a huge amount of weight and are starting to become more mobile. The usual boy and the smallest girl have already got their eyes open and it won't be long before the other girls do too. Blaze is being a doting mother and adores her kittens. She has made the occasional visit to the rest of the house but much prefers to be in the bedroom with her kittens

Week 2: After a few nights bringing the kittens into the bed during the night, Blaze decided to move her kittens from their nest to underneath the bed. She did the same with her first litter, and to exactly the same place too. Of course this means the kittens are no longer confined to their nesting box and the girls have taken full advantage and are toddling about the room already. I don't think I've ever had kittens this mobile, or so brave, at such a young age. Of course, being under the bed it has been difficult to get decent pictures, so the photos below are the best of a bad bunch. I have also decided on pedigree names for the kittens. Having so many sorrel girls I've decided to name them after 'scarlet ladies' throughout history: Theodora, Pompadour, and Mata Hari. The solitary boy has been named after a historical figure also of dubious integrity, Rasputin. |

Week 3: The kittens have been coming along really well this week. They have been toddling about exploring the bedroom and have started to seek out human company. They have even been showing an interest in food, watching their mum as she eats and even licking the dish. It probably won't be long before they start eating solids and needing litter training, so at the end of the week they made the move into the kitten room. They are back in their nesting box for the time being, at least until they have settled into their new surroundings. |

Week 4: It's been all go for the kittens this week. They have been starting to explore the world outside the kitten room. Blaze is particularly keen that her kitttens see the world so has been carrying them to the sofa each evening for play and cuddles. The girls are still like clones of each other but I can just about tell the difference between them now, thanks to some slight differences in their markings. On the food front, Theodora has started to nibble biscuits and Pompadour is tucking into meat with great gusto. Rasputin and Mata Hari are as yet happy with their mother's milk. |

Week 5: The kittens are continuing to thrive and are doing well. The litter training is going well and they all seem to be eating solid food and lapping at water. Rasputin and Pompadour like their meat, whereas the other girls only seem to want biscuits. Alfie has been in to meet his kittens, though they weren't too sure about his boisterous behaviour. They have also been spending a lot of time with Dillon the dog, so this weeks pictures are of the kittens with him. |

Week 6: As they are getting older the kittens have really started to explore the rest of the house. They are at that age when they discover kitty heaven, known to us as behind the TV where all the cables are! They are all eating well, both meat and biscuits, and on the odd occasion are still feeding from their mum, as shown in the photo below. They have had their first taste of wormer but of course didn't like it very much. |

Week 7: It has been virtually impossible to get individual photos of the kittens until now as they are so full of beans they don't sit still long enough. I've just about managed to get some this week, though it took a long time, a lot of patience and even then they aren't very good. The kittens all continue to thrive and are starting to get a bit more cuddly, realising that humans can be as much fun as their siblings! |

Week 8 and 9: It's been quite an exciting couple of weeks for the kittens. They are at the height of their playful phase and like nothing better than to run riot around the house. Rosa has decided she'd like to have kittens of her own and has 'stolen' Blaze's kittens for herself. Blaze doesn't seem to bothered by this as it means she has more time to herself for playing. As you can see from the photo below, Rosa is even suckling the kittens despite not having any milk. It was also time for the kittens to get their first vaccinations this week. Unfortunately poor Pompadour got quite a fright, and a lot of pain, from an ill placed needle during the process and it took her a couple of days to recover. Thankfully she is fine now and full of the madness you'd expect from a nine week old Aby. |

Week 10: Blaze and Rosa are continuing to share the kitten raising duties and both of them seem to be enjoying the job share. The kittens are all doing well and are growing at an alarming rate. Finally, I have managed to get some decent individual photos of them, being present during a very rare quiet moment. |

Week 11: Not much has happened this week. All of the kittens are doing well and are enjoying playing and causing havoc around the house. Rosa is continuing to look after the kittens and this week we have a photo of three generations of cats and kittens together. |

Week 12: This will be the last update of the kitten's page as they will soon be old enough to leave for their new homes. They have all been for their second vaccination and everything went well, and there weren't any adverse reactions. Blaze has now completely handed over the mothering duties to Rosa, who has even started to produce milk to feed them! She really does love being a mum, but it's probably best for her and the kittens if they spend some time apart, which is easier said than done! |
