3rd July 2008: Flora has been away visiting her beau, the stunning Champion Riverfern Lord of Kobol owned by Louise and David Miskelly of Glendavan Abyssinians. It will be a while before we will know whether she is definitely pregnant, but all going well she should be having her first litter at the end of August. We are expecting usual kittens, although there is the slight possibility of blue kittens too.

28th March 2008: Rosa's kittens have arrived. The births went well without any problems, and this being her second litter she seemed to take everything in her stride. We have four healthy kittens, three girls and one boy. All are usual apart from the one big sorrel girl. More details can be found on the Kittens page. |

20th February 2008: We are pleased to announce that Rosa is pregnant and all going well we should have kittens due around the end of March or beginning of April. She has been to visit the stunning FIFe International Grand Champion and TICA Triple Grand Champion Riverfern Back In Black (Flora's father), owned by Louise and David Miskelly at Glendavan Abyssinians. A big thank-you to them for allowing Rosa in to stud. She is already starting to swell at an alarming rate and is eating us out of house and home. Further details of can be found on our kittens page here.

1st September 2007: We have a new arrival, but not of the feline kind this time. Introducing Dillon the Border Terrier. We were lucky enough to be able to choose his 'posh' pedigree name so he is called 'Prince Dillon of Abderus', just so he doesn't feel too left out in a house full of cats. He has settled in well and the cats are coming round to accepting the new comer surprisingly quickly. Rosa and Flora are completely fascinated by him and would like to be friends but still aren't sure of his boisterous puppy behaviour. Milo is trying to figure out how best to exert his dominance and put the new comer in his place, and Laurel is in denial and doing her best to pretend he doesn't exist. |

24th March 2007: This week saw the arrival of a new member of our feline family, Glendavan Kissin Dynamite (Flora). She slept for most of the journey to her new home and settled in to her new surroundings straight away, though she isn't about to take any nonsense from the adult cats! More information about Flora can be found on the Queens page.

26th November 2006: It was a long journey overnight that took members of the Scottish Cat Club down to Birmingham to visit the Supreme show on Saturday. As always the Abyssinian breed was well represented. Congratulations go in particular to Isobel Hansell's Gr Ch Nishalka Fiera, who received her second certificate to become a UK Grand Champion. Lona Johnson's Pontaby Ferragosto, received his third PC to become a Premier. Christine Leith's Pr Rintinaby Red Herring not only received her second Grand PC, but was also awarded Best of Breed which meant going through for Best of Section in the afternoon. |

4th November 2006: Rosa has given birth to five beautiful kittens, one fawn boy, two sorrel boys and two sorrel girls. Although she had become fairly large during pregnancy, we weren't expecting quite such a big litter! Things went without any problems and Mum and babies are all doing well. There are photos and more details on the kitten page, which will be regularly updated with news and photos. |

20th October 2006: Rosa's pregnancy is continuing to go well. She is swelling by the day, is finally starting to slow down (much to the delight of the other cats), and is rapidly beginning to look like a cat that has swallowed a football! There's a couple of weeks to go as yet, and even more growing to do, but hopefully things will continue to go well.

19th September 2006: Rosa has been to visit her amour, the lovely big fawn boy Izzy (Abychat Pinballwizard). It took her a few days to appreciate his advances but she soon settled and, as you can see from the photo, they became good pals. It'll be a couple of weeks before we will know whether we can expect kittens, but fingers crossed. Watch this space for more news. |

20th June 2006: A good time was had by all at the Abyssinian Cat Club show on Saturday. It was a fantastic day and a great opportunity to see lots of beautiful Abyssinians and Somalis under the one roof. Congratulations to Rosa's parents, Ch Abychat Honeycomb and Ch One Shot from A'Far. Honey won her first Grand CC in a class of five top quality cats. As for One Shot, what can I say? He was awarded his CC and the Grand CC, was placed first in all of his side classes and went on to win not only Best Adult in Show but also overall Best in Show Exhibit!! As always he charmed the crowd with his antics and loved every minute of the attention. Congratulations to the Pontellos! |
