Abderus Ariadne (Star)

Star is the daughter of Rosa from her second litter (see here) to Riverfern Back In Black. It was always my intention to keep a kitten from this litter to see how it would develop and to take to a few shows. From the day  she was born Star had something about her that set her apart from her siblings. She is a real live-wire, full of energy and perhaps a little bit mad! Her best friend is Dillon the dog, her partner in crime. In December 2009 Star had a litter of kittens and proved to be a wonderful mother, (more details can be found here). Unfortunately, Star had a difficult time birthing and raising her kittens so we decided it was in her best interest to have her neutered.

Pr Atbara Robin Adair (Milo)
Milo was my first Abyssinian and came to me from Jane Carreyette in Argyll and Bute here in Scotland. Milo is where my Abyssinian obsession began. He is a very affectionate cat, is always up to mischief and is absolutely typical of the breed. His favourite pastimes include hunting toy mice and delivering them to you for your supper, opening cupboard doors and drawers (just to see what is inside), and play fighting with any cat that shows willing. Milo did well at shows as a kitten and made it to Premier before deciding that showing wasn’t his thing.

Gr Pr Nishalka Calandra (Laurel)
Laurel was the second Abyssinian to join the household and came to me from Isobel Hansell (Nishalka Abyssinians) in Staffordshire. Laurel has done exceptionally well at shows and made it to Premier in three straight shows and Grand Premier in a further three straight shows. She has also been awarded a UK Grand Premier certificate at the Supreme and was Best in Show Neuter at the Abyssinian Cat Club show in 2004. She is semi-retired from showing now, but still makes the odd appearance. In contrast to Milo, Laurel is a very laid back, gentle, unassuming lady. She likes to be up high and loves to sit on shoulders, gently head-butting you.

Glendavan Kissin Dynamite (Flora)

Flora arrived with us full of energy and mischief in March 2007. She is very gentle and affectionate, and is a complete poser when it comes to having her photo taken.. Flora had her first litter of kittens in June 2009. For lots of photos see our Past Litters page here.

Unfortunately, after being neutered Flora was being terribly bullied by the other girls in the house so we made the difficult decision to find her a new home where she could be the only cat. She is now living with friends nearby where she is happy and enjoying being the centre of attention.
